Eyedropets. Three projector multi-media installation. Variable size. 2024.

Experiments with projection mapping.

In 2024, I began experimenting with projected imagery in spatially immersive ways, transforming my studio into a controlled environment where I could manipulate light and test various methods of projecting onto different surfaces.

Each of the resulting works was a temporary, site-specific experiment—assembled in a day or so, then dismantled to make room for the next. Every installation served as a learning experience, building toward the next iteration.

As part of the process, I documented myself interacting with the projections, then looped that footage back into the work. These layered recordings ultimately became reference material for animating fantastical versions of myself and my surroundings in my 2025 exhibit, Fluid.

More videos of these works can be found here

When the projectors are turned off and the lights come on, what remains is simply unassuming paper and string. The ephemeral illusion of floating portals into another world represents a glimpse past my banal exterior, into my mind.

Creating this kind of installation is both physically and mentally demanding. It involves climbing ladders, navigating multiple software platforms, and devising inventive rigging solutions. This dynamic, process-driven practice is essential to my exploration of identity, rooted in curiosity, experimentation, and discovery.
